Who are we?
My name is Akeem Tolson. I am the founder and travel host of Live Be Do LLC. We offer group trip experiences that blend culture, luxury, and adventure.
We began hosting group trips in Cuba and Puerto Rico in 2019. Before we became a conduit of travel, the words "Live Be Do" were the foundation of my personal mission to avoid burnout.
As a self-employed, home improvement contractor, I often worked long hours. I would also work for weeks at a time without a break or proper rest. I made promises that I would treat myself to a trip or extended break after I completed a contract or reached a financial goal. Most times I'd work beyond those goals until I became physically and mentally exhausted. After finally reaching a breaking point, I had a breakthrough. I realized that I needed to be as intentional about scheduling rest and recreation as I was about scheduling contracts.
Live Be Do became a personal mission statement, a reminder, and a challenge to put life on the front burner. I started traveling more and created Live Be Do t-shirts to remind myself to remain intentional about living.
The message resonated with people around the world and they made requests to purchase the t-shirts. After traveling with friends and family, I began to receive requests from social media contacts and strangers. And now I'm your favorite travel host.
